Numerous rumors about the next iteration of Grand Theft Auto have been doing the rounds recently. It’s also speculated that the next would likely be set in Tokyo. But according to the latest rumors, there’s a possibility of GTA 6 being set in Vice City and South America. There are even speculations that the next game s protagonist will be a woman. The rumor mills have traditionally never stopped churning out spicy stuff when it comes to GTA games. And this time the rumors have taken the fancy of many people. GTA has never had a female leading character before and this would be a welcome move from the developer Rockster. The female character is rumored to be voiced by Latin American actor Eva Mendes.
The locale of GTA 6 would be Vice City from the fourth installment of the GTA series which is modelled after Miami. And the protagonist would likely be travelling to the South Americas for certain missions.
The rumors don t say if there will be multiple protagonists like in GTA V, or whether we will get to play as Tommy Vercetti who was the lead in GTA Vice City.
Rockster Games are notoriously infamous for postponing their release dates and from the looks of things it would be a while before the next GTA game hits the shelves. 2022 is a date that has been doing the rounds of the internet and seems likely with Rockster s present schedule.
Leslie Benzies, former Rockster president, has mentioned that Rockster games has enough unique ideas to release a new GTA game every year for the next 45 years.
