Published by Microsoft studios, Halo 4 takes the Master Chief, the protagonist of the franchise, up against a new ancient evil and a deadly class of technologically advanced enemies called the Prometheans. Microsoft says Halo 4 is emotionally a more personal affair for the Master Chief and overall the mood and plot is much darker than its predecessors. Apart from the single player element, the franchise has always been known for its Multiplayer gameplay. Halo 4 builds upon the foundations of Halo 3 with a gamut of new features that include War games which takes place on the Spartan training ship Infinity and ties into the single-player plot, a new map builder that has been enhanced from Halo 3, and a downloadable Spartan OPS mode. The Spartan OPS mode has been designed to enhance the longevity of the game. In this mode four players can play through the episodes based on the Spartan Soldiers on board the Infinity and fight the Prometheans. Microsoft will offer a new episode every week for download.
