Google Pixel 3 has been marred with a number of bugs and issues right after the launch of the device. It is surprising to notice the number of issues that have reported about the device lineup since the launch especially considering that it is the 2018 flagship smartphone from the company. We have been keeping a close watch on the number of issues while maintaining a list of issues affecting Pixel 3 users. The list also includes the official responses issued by Google about the associated issues.

According to a recent report, some Google Pixel 3 users are observing that their device will “still vibrate for the incoming notifications” while recording. This will cause the video to distort and lose focus while recording. According to a report by 9to5Google, most Pixel devices should block out the vibration and the sound of the notifications when the user is recording the video. However, on some devices especially the Google Pixel 3, the device is not blocking the vibration and the sound. This issue is not limited to the latest Google Pixel devices as some users with older Pixel devices are also noticing the problem.

If you are one of the unfortunate Google Pixel users that is facing the issue then you should not worry as there is an easy fix to the problem. The best part about this is that you don’t even need to visit the service center or get your device replaced as it all lies in the software.

The fix was initially spotted by PiunikaWeb on Reddit. According to the fix, users need to open the “Settings” app on their Google Pixel device, head to “App & Notifications” section and then tap on “Advanced” section to navigate to “Special App Access”. Once you are there, you need to open the “Do Not Disturb Access” option and then enable the toggle in front of the GoogleCamera” app entry.

Ensure that the toggle is enabled and in case it is turned off, turning it on will open a window. The window will ask if you want to “Allow access to Do Not Disturb for Camera”. Tap on “Allow” to fix the problem. That’s it and your device will not be affected by incoming notifications while recording the video.
