HMD has been on a roll this year. The company has managed to launch eight new smartphones in the past few months. It s all part of a strategy to once again become one of the leading smartphone brands in the world. But while the company has been focusing on the Asian and the European markets, its activities in US have more or less been limited. However, now it looks like HMD is planning to change that as a new post on LinkedIn suggests it to be growing its operations in US. According to a report from Nokiamob, HMD has put up LinkedIn posts for three new job profiles in the country. This includes, a Product Lead, E-Commerce Lead and a Technical Account Manager, who will all be based in US. Collectively the job descriptions describe them to be working towards creating better online portfolio for the US market, and enhance sales and marketing activities in the country. In order to do that, the candidates are also said to be working alongside multiple partners, operators and retailers. The listing for the Technical Account Manager also states it to be the main point for working on variants and customization of products for the local market. All-in all, the three listings suggest HMD to be expanding its operations in the county.

Coming to HMD s activities in India, the company could soon launch the Nokia X6 in the country, along with other markets. The news surfaced a month ago, when the product’s support page was spotted on its Indian website. While there has been no speculation on pricing, the smartphone is said to feature a Snapdragon 636 SoC and a 5.8-inch Full HD+ (2280 1080 pixels) notch display. The smartphone will come in two variants of 4GB and 6GB RAM and will be boasting Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-box. It s also equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back.
