HMD Global on Thursday announced insurance offerings for its range of Nokia smartphones in India. The company has partnered with Servify to offer ‘affordable and comprehensive insurance plans’ starting from Rs 399.
Consumers will have the option to choose from three types of insurance plans along with the purchase of Nokia smartphones. These plans will come with 12-month cover provided by Servify beyond Nokia’s standard warranty.
“We carry our phones everywhere and it’s difficult to be without them. Which is why it’s essential that we remain worry-free as we go about making the most of our day. Nokia phones stand for reliability and trust and we are taking this promise even further by partnering with Servify to offer affordable and comprehensive insurance and extended warranty plans. We have been speaking to our fans across the country and believe that this initiative will help them care for their Nokia smartphones and protect their investments,” Ajey Mehta, Vice President and Country Head, HMD Global, India said.
With the purchase of Nokia smartphones, consumers can opt for insurance plan with accident and liquid damage protection. Then there is another screen protection plan as well. Both plans are available for purchase within 15-days of Nokia smartphone purchase date.
Lastly, Nokia phone consumers will have the option to extend warranty on their device. HMD Global notes that this extended warranty can be purchased within 365-days from the smartphone purchase date. All these plans can be purchased from Nokia.com/phones, Nokia mobile support app and through Servify.in.

The one year accident and liquid damage protection plan authorized by Nokia is priced between Rs 549-1,549, depending upon the smartphone value. Apart from accidental and liquid damage, this will also cover things like ‘damage due to fire, lightning, riots, other acts of Gods perils.’
