This year has been quite an eventful one for HMD Global. The Finnish company, which holds exclusive rights to manufacture and license Nokia-branded Android smartphones, recently launched the Nokia 5.1 Plus and Nokia 6.1 Plus in India. However, 2018 is not over yet, and with the festive season approaching soon, the company seems all set to add another smartphone to its ever-growing portfolio. Nokia 7.1 Plus has been rumored for quite a while and is expected to be unveiled globally on October 4, 2018. It only makes sense that HMD Global launches it in India shortly (a week, in this case) after the global launch. The smartphone is expected to go on sale as Nokia X7 in China.
Recently, Nokia 7.1 Plus surfaced on Chinese certification authority TENAA s portal, confirming its design and key specifications.
If the images accompanying the listing are to be believed, Nokia s upcoming smartphone will have a vertically-stacked dual camera system at the back, just like the current Nokia 7 Plus. It s also expected to have a regular display, which is surprising, considering Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus both have notched screens.
Nokia 7.1 Plus: Expected specifications and features
According to the TENAA listing, Nokia 7.1 Plus will have a 6.18-inch FullHD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2246 pixels. The smartphone is likely to be powered by Qualcomm s new Snapdragon 710 SoC, paired with 4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of internal storage.

A 20-megapixel front-facing snapper will take care of selfies and video calls. Like most smartphones in HMD Global s line-up, Nokia 7.1 Plus is expected to be Android One-certified.
