Hoichoi app

Bengali regional entertainment app Hoichoi, from the production house SVF, formerly known as Shree Venkatesh Films has completed 12 months. And on the occasion of turning one, the company has announced a host of new seasons, shows as well as exclusives that it will be bringing this new season.

During its first year, the company has managed to produce over 1,400 hours of content which has been watched for over 240 million minutes. And for Season 2, the makers of the app are all set to introduce a host of new features that have been introduced as part of the new season.

To begin with, the Hoichoi app will now be available in Bengali along with the English interface and the users will be able to choose whichever they prefer to interact on the app with. Besides this, SVF is also introducing dubbed content in Hindi, Tamil, Telegu and Arabic which would help them reach a bigger audience.

Hoichoi app will now be available on Airtel TV in India and SVF is also launching the app with partners in Bangladesh and in UAE. In Bangladesh, the app will be available with SVF’s telecom partner Robi and in the UAE it will be made available through Etisalat and DU.

But one of the most unique features to be introduced by the company are its new Top Up cards which will be available at kiosks set up by SVF throughout the state and other select locations in India. Users will be able to buy Top Up cards for either 3, 6 or 12 months, and will be able to recharge their Hoichoi account using the scratched code.

This is an attempt by the company to reach the lower tier cities and villages where online transactions are not popular yet though people are familiar with top-up cards thanks to pre-paid mobile connections. This is the first of its kind in India and no other entertain app or company offers this.
