Last month, Huawei’s sub-brand launched the Honor 10 in China. The smartphone is now expected to launch globally in London on May 15, followed by an India launch. While an official date has yet to be announced, the company has now revealed that the Honor 10 will be available exclusively via Flipkart on launch.

The announcement doesn’t really come as a surprise as the Honor 9i and the Honor 9 Lite too were launched as Flipkart exclusives. Only Huawei’s P20 Pro and P20 Lite smartphones were exclusive to Amazon India. “We are delighted to announce that Flipkart will be our exclusive online sale partner for Honor 10,” P Sanjeev, Vice-President Sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group said. “We are confident that this association with Flipkart, who shares our vision to deliver superb value to consumers will help strengthen our position in the Indian smartphone market.”

The Honor 10 was launched in China in two variants, and it remains to be seen which of them make it to India. The variant with 64GB storage is priced at RMB 2,599 (approximately Rs 27,000), while the 128GB variant is priced at RMB 2,999 (approximately Rs 31,500).

Honor 10 features, specifications

Honor has stuck with a design language that is similar to the Huawei P20 smartphones. The Honor 10 features a curved glass body with a full-screen display and a notch at the top. Honor has also retained the color-changing coating, and buyers will be able to choose from Phantom Blue and Mirage Purple options.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Honor 10 flaunts a 5.84-inch full HD+ LCD display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is Huawei’s Kirin 970 octa-core SoC along with Neural Processing Unit (NPU), and advanced AI capabilities (AI 2.0). The processor is paired with 6GB of RAM.

For photography, there is a dual-camera setup at the back that includes a 24-megapixel primary sensor and 16-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, there’s a 24-megapixel sensor at the front. Making sure everything ticks is a 3,400mAh battery with fast charging support. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 on top.
