Honor 10 is expected to arrive later this month, however, the smartphone has already been subjected to a series of leaks and revelations. Further confirming the rumored specifications, the Honor 10 has now made it to Chinese regulator TENAA’s listing. One of the interesting bits to note is that the smartphone has shown up in four different configurations, which means we might be looking at four variants, differing in terms of certain features or specifications.
As GSMArena reports, the Honor 10 is listed under four model numbers – COL-AL10, COL-TL10, COL-AL00, and COL-TL00. What is common among the variants is that the SoC under the hood will be Huawei’s own HiSilicon Kirin 970 with an octa-core CPU, clocked at 2.36GHz. There will be either 4GB or 6GB of RAM with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.
Honor 10 specifications, features
Based on past rumors and the listing, the Honor 10 will feature a notch on the top of its display. It is expected to feature a 5.84-inch 19:9 aspect ratio display, indicating the screen will be taller than usual, with 2280×1080 pixel resolution. It is expected that Honor will incorporate an LCD display.
One of the talking points of the smartphone is said to be its use of a dual-camera setup at the back. Going by the past reports, the setup is likely to include a combination of 16-megapixel and 24-megapixel sensors. The camera is speculated to come with what is called ‘semantic image segmentation mode’. As the report says, this essentially means, the lens will be capable of multi-scene detection within a single photo. The ability will be gained by the use of the processor with AI features.
Recently, alleged images of the Honor 10 were spotted online, giving out more details on the dual-camera setup. Based on that, the dual-camera setup will be horizontally positioned with the primary camera getting wide f/1.6 aperture. There could also be support for quad-LED flash for enhanced images. Details on the front camera are scarce at the moment.
The latest TENAA listing further reveals the Honor 10 will run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box with EMUI 8.0 running atop. Keeping things ticking will be a 3,320mAh battery, supported by Huawei’s in-house fast charging.
