Huawei-owned Honor is set to launch its latest smartphone – the Honor 10 – at a launch event in London on May 15. We now know that the phone is set to also go on sale in India on Flipkart on May 16 at midnight. The Honor 10 is the latest flagship smartphone from the Honor sub-brand of Chinese smartphone maker Huawei. While pricing details aren’t known yet, the phone is likely to retain the competitive pricing that Honor has typically gone with. The Honor View10, which was launched in December 2017, is priced at Rs 29,999. The Honor 10 will go head-to-head with the upcoming OnePlus 6, which is slated to launch a day later on May 16, and go on sale in India on May 21. Honor has stuck with a design language that is similar to the Huawei P20 smartphones. The Honor 10 features a curved glass body with a full-screen display and a notch at the top. Honor has also retained the color-changing coating, and buyers will be able to choose from Phantom Blue and Mirage Purple options.

As far as specifications are concerned, the Honor 10 flaunts a 5.84-inch full HD+ LCD display with 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is Huawei s Kirin 970 octa-core SoC along with Neural Processing Unit (NPU), and advanced AI capabilities (AI 2.0). The processor is paired with 6GB of RAM.
For photography, there is a dual-camera setup at the back that includes a 24-megapixel primary sensor and 16-megapixel secondary sensor. For selfies, there s a 24-megapixel sensor at the front. Making sure everything ticks is a 3,400mAh battery with fast charging support. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI 8.1 on top. It’s a step below the Huawei P20 Pro, which was launched in India recently, priced at Rs 64,999 and sports a worlds-first triple-camera setup at the rear.
