After Huawei’s mega launch of the P20 lineup, the company’s sub-brand Honor is reportedly looking at announcing an all-new smartphone. Honor has started sending media invites to select publications where it is teasing the Honor 10 smartphone. One of the noteworthy features of the upcoming smartphone is going to be an all-screen display and AI camera integration. TechRadar appears to have received the invitation for the launch event which will be held on May 15 in London. In the GIF invite, a silhouette of the smartphone is seen next to a camera shutter which opens to reveal the words ‘AI’, hinting at an advanced camera on the upcoming smartphone. When launched, the Honor 10 will add to the 18:9 display smartphone lineup. If the GIF is anything to go by, we won’t be seeing any notch on the phone. Based on the invite, the smartphone could also feature a more compact form factor and a smaller display.
The Honor 10 will sit next to the Honor View 10 which launched in India earlier this year at a price of Rs 29,999. It features a metal body design and packs a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, Kirin 970 octa-core SoC is paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.
The second USP of the View 10 is the dual-camera setup at the back. It includes f/1.8 aperture 16-megapixel RGB lens paired with a 20-megapixel monochrome lens. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel camera with Intelligent Portrait Recognition for selfie and video calling.

Details on the Honor 10 are scarce at the moment. However, what we do know now is that the display and camera will be the highlights. In comparison, the Honor 9 packs a 5.15-inch Full HD display with a 2.5D curved glass protection. It is powered by HiSilicon s premium Kirin 960 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM with 64GB/128GB of internal storage. For optics, there’s a dual-camera setup at the back which includes a combination of 12 megapixel + 20-megapixel sensors. Up front, there’s an 8-megapixel camera.
Interestingly, the Honor 9 never released in India. Instead, the Honor 9 Lite launched at a price of Rs 10,999. The USP of the Honor 9 Lite is four camera, a pair of cameras at the front and the back.
