It seems to be raining discounts for smartphone buyers. Earlier today the Google Pixel 2 received a temporary price cut. Now Honor has announced similar temporary price cuts for two of its smartphones – Honor 6x and Honor 8 Pro.
The Honor 6X gets a Rs 2,000 price cut, which brings the price of the 32GB variant down to Rs 9,999, and the 64GB variant to Rs 11,999. The Honor 8 Pro, on the other hand, gets a price cut of Rs 4,000. This brings the price of the smartphone down from Rs 29,999 to Rs 25,999. These price cuts are applicable on Amazon India, and will only be valid between December 12 and 19.
These price cuts come days after the Huawei sub-brand launched its Honor 7X smartphone in India. The new smartphone has been launched in two variants – 32GB variant priced at Rs 12,999, and 64GB variant priced at Rs 15,999. At this price range, the Honor 7X is targeted at the Xiaomi Mi A1, which recently got a price cut of its own.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Honor 7X 5.93-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, Kirin 659 octa-core SoC, and 4GB of RAM. The internal storage is expandable using a microSD card.
Besides the display, the highlight of the smartphone is the dual-camera setup at the back. This includes a combination of 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calling.
The feature list also includes a 3,340mAh battery, fingerprint sensor, and connectivity options like dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the Honor 7X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1.
