Honor 7S with 18:9 display goes on first sale today via Flipkart: Everything you need to know

Honor 7S, the new entry-level smartphone from Huawei‘s e-brand, Honor, will go on its first flash sale today. Honor has emerged as one of the fastest growing smartphone brand in the country and it recently managed to break into top five in India’s highly competitive smartphone market. Honor offers smartphones across different price segments, right from entry-level devices to ones in the premium mid-range segment. With Honor 7S, Honor is trying to further strengthen its place in the entry-level market where it already has two solid devices in the form of Honor 7A and Honor 7C. Honor 7S Price and Offers

Honor 7S, the new entry-level smartphone, has been priced at Rs 6,999. During the sale today, the smartphone will be available in blue, black and gold colors. Honor says that the device will be available with exchange offers where customers can avail minimum Rs 1,000 off on their old device. Other offers include no-cost EMI options starting at Rs 778 per month, and extra five percent off with Axis Bank Buzz credit card. Reliance Jio users will be able to avail Rs 2,200 cashback, and 50GB additional data with Honor 7S.

Honor 7S Specifications and Competition

Honor 7S was first introduced in May 2018 as Honor Play 7 in the Chinese smartphone market. It features a design similar to that of Honor 7A and Honor 7C, and sports a thin bezel design with all metal unibody chassis. At the front, the Honor 7S features a 5.45-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels, and supports taller 18:9 display.

Under the hood, the Honor 7S gets a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor coupled with PowerVR GE8100 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 16GB internal storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 256GB via dedicated SD card slot. The smartphone offers a 13-megapixel primary camera with phase detection autofocus and support for 1080p video recording. There is also a 5-megapixel selfie shooter with dedicated LED flash.

The connectivity options on the Honor 7S include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, microUSB port, and 4G LTE. It lacks a fingerprint sensor, and it runs EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo, and is backed by a 3,020mAh battery. At a retail price of Rs 6,999, the Honor 7S competes with Xiaomi Redmi 6A, which is a grand cheaper and offers better specifications, at least on paper.
