Huawei’s sub-brand Honor launched the 7X smartphone in India in December 2017. After OnePlus 5T and Xiaomi Mi A1, the Honor 7X has a Limited Edition Red variant. Priced at Rs 12,999, the smartphone will be exclusively available via Amazon India. As of now, the smartphone is available in Gold, Black and Blue variants. The company hasn’t revealed anything yet about the availability of the new variant. However, registrations for the smartphone are now open on the e-commerce site. The Honor 7X is the successor to the Honor 6X. In line with the current trend, the smartphone comes with a tall 18:9 aspect ratio display, and dual cameras at the back. Honor recently announced that the company has started manufacturing the Honor 7X in India. In partnership with US-based Flextronics (Flex), Honor 7X will also be Made in India in Chennai. The Honor 7X flaunts a 5.93-inch full HD+ resolution display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood is a Kirin 659 octa-core SoC paired with 4GB of RAM. There is 64GB internal storage on offer, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
One of the talking points of the Honor 7X is the dual-camera setup at the back. This includes a combination of 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. It allows users to shoot portrait photos with a blurred background, and there s also a Motion picture mode that is similar to Live Photos on the Apple iPhone. Up front, there is an 8-megapixel snapper for selfies and video calling.
Keeping the smartphone ticking is a 3,340mAh battery. On the connectivity front, there is a dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. On the software front, the Honor 7X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1.
