Arriving with build number B192, a new software update has started to rollout for the Honor 7X. And as promised, the update brings the Face Unlock feature to the smartphone.

The update also brings with it a tool that can hide the contents of your lock screen notifications. This and the Face Unlock feature will be accessible in Security and Privacy in Settings after the update.

Also included is a new AR lens mode for the front camera, which is somewhat like the face filters that we see on Snapchat. As you must have already guessed, the mode will allow users to add different effects and filters to their photos. This feature can be found in Camera -> Modes -> AR lens.

Additionally, the update also comes with the Android security patch for January 2018. As reported by AndroidSoul, the patch is currently rolling out to units in China. There’s no word on when other markets will receive it, but with a bit of luck, we should see it in India and other countries within the next couple of weeks.

BGR India has also reached out to Honor to confirm the rollout, and its availability in the Indian market. We will update this space as soon as we receive any information on this.
