Huawei has been rumored to launch its P10 smartphone at the forthcoming MWC 2017. New rumors suggest that the company, through its sub brand Honor, could also launch another smartphone, dubbed as the Honor 8 Lite. The company will be hosting a launch event on February 26 at the MWC 2016 where the two phones will be officially unveiled.
Leaked renders, first spotted by leakster Roland Quandt of WinFuture.de, of what’s believed to be the Honor 8 Lite reveal the device in plastic and clear cases. According to rumors, the smartphone will be available in blue, black, gold, and white colors. Rumors further say that the Honor 8 Lite might launch in early March, after an official unveiling at the MWC 2017.
Further, the Honor 8 Lite is said to pack a microUSB 2.0 port instead o the USB Type C port. It will come with a 5.2-inch full HD display resolution. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Kirin 655 processor paired with 3GB of RAM. It will come with 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded via microSD card. Apart from this the smartphone will be armed with 3,000mAh battery and will run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. The phone looks exactly similar like the Honor 8 except the dual-camera and LED flash which is missing from the back panel.
The Honor 8 features a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display covered with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection. Under the hood is Huawei’s Kirin 950 octa-core processor built on 16nm architecture, paired with 4GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage, which is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.
For photography, the phone features two 12-megapixel camera sensors at the back with aperture of f/2.2 and pixel size of 1.76-micron. The Honor 8 also comes with an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC and Bluetooth. It also come with a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. The smartphone is armed with a 3,000mAh battery with fast charging technology (9V/2A). It also includes a fingerprint scanner at the back. On the software front, it runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow 6.0 wrapped under Huawei’s EMUI 4.1.
Huawei is also launching the P10 Plus smartphone at MWC 2017. If rumors are to be believed, the Huawei P10 Plus is expected to feature a curved screen with a 5.5-inch display. At the heart it is said to be powered by Kirin 965 chipset. The smartphone will be available in two variants- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB variants. Both the variants are said to include microSD card slot. The smartphone is expected to feature a dual rear camera module with a 12-megapixel sensors that will offer DSLR-like bokeh effect in images. Up front will be an 8-megapixel camera for selfies. The P10 Plus is expected to come with a 3,650mAh battery. On the software front, it will run the latest Android Nougat.
