Huawei’s online-centric brand Honor is set to put its latest product, the Honor 8C, on sale today. The device will be available to buy on Amazon India, priced at Rs 11,999 for the 4GB RAM / 32GB storage option and Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM / 64GB storage option. The device is a part of Honor’s growing range of mid-tier products, meant to capture a bigger market share in the volume-driven mid-range smartphone segment.
The Honor 8C is being touted as the world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon 632-powered smartphone, which is a departure from Honor’s trend of using HiSilicon Kirin chipsets in its devices. Buyers on Amazon India can avail of certain offers on purchase of the Honor 8C, including 5 percent off on ICICI Bank credit and debit cards for EMI purchases, as well as benefits worth Rs 4,450 and 100GB free data on Reliance Jio.
The device sits just below the Honor 8X in positioning, and offers new hardware and better specifications in the space between Rs 10,000 and Rs 14,000. Like Xiaomi, Honor appears to be targeting various price brackets in order to offer something to users no matter what their spending capability may be.
