As expected, Huawei’s sub-brand has today launched the Honor 8C in China. The new smartphone will be going on sale in the country from October 16. There is however no word on whether this device will come to India. Read on to find out everything about the new Honor smartphone.
Honor 8C specifications, features
As far as specifications are concerned, the Honor 8C flaunts a 6.26-inch HD+ (1520×720 pixels) display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch at the top. Under the hood is a 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC paired with 506GPU. The built-in memory on the device is expandable up to 256GB using a microSD card.
For photography, the Honor 8C is equipped with a dual-camera setup at the back. This setup includes a 13-megapixel f/1.8 primary sensor, and 2-megapixel f/2.4 secondary sensor. For selfies, the device comes with an 8-megapixel f/2.4 sensor.
For security, there’s a fingerprint sensor placed at the back below the camera module. Making sure everything ticks is a 4,000mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and GLONASS. On the software front, the device runs Android 8.1 Oreo-based EMIUI 8.2.

Honor 8C prices
The Honor 8C has been launched in two variants. The base model with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM is priced at RMB 1,099 (Rs 11,700 approximately). The top model with 64GB storage and 4GB RAM is priced at RMB 1,399 (Rs 15,000 approximately). Buyers will be able to choose between Aurora Blue, Platinum Gold, Nebula Purple, and Midnight Black color options.
