Honor claims to have so far sold over 6 million devices globally, and is now planning to update the Honor 8X to the latest OS – Android 9 Pie. EMUI 9 focuses on speed and simplicity, and will also bring a number of improvements related to performance, bug fixes, and visual changes too. The company also mentioned that it will bring Google’s Digital Wellbeing feature, faster gaming, and a more streamlined UI. When later launched in India, the software would boast some India-specific features and localized capabilities which will include enhanced language support (up to 28 languages), a better-designed local calendar, and most importantly, deeper integration of Paytm with the UI overlay.
