Honor 8X goes on sale for the first time via Amazon India; price, specifications, launch offers and more

The smartphone comes with a massive display while sticking to its mid-range price tag.

Last week, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor launched a new mid-range smartphone in India called the Honor 8X. The smartphone brings a massive display with a notch on top, and thin chin at the bottom. It comes with a glass back with two-tone finish, offering a premium look and feel to it. The smartphone goes on sale for the first time today via Amazon India, and here’s everything you need to know.

Honor 8X price in India, launch offers and more

The Honor 8X will be available in three variants: 4GB RAM with 64GB storage priced at Rs 14,999, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage priced at Rs 16,999, and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at Rs 18,999. Customers buying the smartphone between October 24 and 28 will also be eligible for free screen replacement in six months, worth Rs 6,000. Also, there is a buyback guarantee program where if you exchange the smartphone in 6-8 months for a new device, you will be eligible to get Rs 6,000 as buyback value. Similarly, if you exchange between 9-12 months, you can get up to Rs 5,200 as exchange value.

Additionally, Vodafone & Idea users can get 360GB additional data when they buy the Honor 8X. ICICI bank credit and debit card users also get flat 10 percent discount and 10 percent cashback on their purchases. For transactions under Rs 50,000, only flat discount, maximum of Rs 2,000 will be given. On purchases above Rs 50,000, flat 10 percent discount will be given upfront, and the remaining 10 percent will be given as a cashback.

Honor 8X specifications and features

The Honor 8X comes with a 6.5-inch full-HD+ screen, with a nearly edge-to-edge display. There is a notch on the top for earpiece, sensors and front camera. Honor claims that the 8X has a screen-to-body ratio of 91 percent. Running on Android 8.1 Oreo, with EMUI 8.2 on top, the smartphone comes with a 3,750mAh battery. It is a dual SIM smartphone with a dedicated microSD card for expandable storage.

Under the hood is a HiSilicon Kirin 710 SoC with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage. In the photography department, the smartphone comes with dual cameras at the back – a 20-megapixel primary sensor supplemented with a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Up front, there is a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling. Connectivity options include microUSB port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS.
