Honor is all set to launch its latest phones with gigantic displays, the Honor 8X and 8X Max in China and now the company has revealed the date on a teaser posted on its Weibo account. According to the images posted, the Honor 8X and 8X Max will be launched in China on September 5.
We got our first alleged look of the smartphone earlier this week in a report. And the specifications of the phones have been reportedly been leaked on TENAA, which is the Chinese certification website. The successor of the of the Honor 7X, the Honor 8X is expected to feature a huge display, ‘water-drop’ notch on the display, dual-rear cameras and bigger batteries.
The teaser does not reveal anything about the pricing, and we have not heard any rumors on that front as well. The teaser does not reveal much else about the phone except that company’s promises that the new smartphones will ‘surpass limits’ and will be ‘beyond imagination’.
Honor 8X Specifications
According to the listing on TENAA, the Honor 8X is set to come with either Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 660 chipset. It is expected to feature a large 7.12-inch display, which suggests that Honor 8X will compete with Xiaomi Mi Max 3, which is a phablet with 6.9-inch display.
The display on the Honor 8X is said to support a resolution of 2244×1080 pixels. The phablet will be backed by a 4,900mAh battery. It is likely to feature dual rear camera setup with a combination of 16-megapixel, and 2-megapixel image sensors. The selfie department is said to be handled by an 8-megapixel shooter.

The Honor 8X is likely to feature 6GB of RAM and pack 64GB of built in storage. It will also support expandable storage up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
