The much-rumored Honor 8X and the Honor 8X Max are set to be unveiled today in China. Falling under Honor s X-series, the smartphones are expected to belong to mid-range price segment. While Honor hasn t revealed any details on them, teasers surfaced online have hinted at them featuring a big screen with a waterdrop notch at the top. A recent TENNA listing for the Honor 8X states that it will feature a 6-6.5-inch screen full HD+ screen. Thanks to the notch, the screen-to-body ratio is said to be more than 90 percent. Being a mid-range smartphone, the Honor 8X is likely to be powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset, which comes with eight cores and clock speeds of 2.2GHz. A dual-rear camera setup is also touted, which could be carrying a combination of a 20-megapixel sensor working alongside a 2-megapixel sensor. On the flipside a 16-megapixel selfie camera is expected. The smartphone it said to be a powered by a 3,650mAh battery, and will be mostly be running Android 8.1 Oreo with EMUI on top.

The Honor 8X Max will be doing justice to its name by boasting a much bigger 7.12-inch screen. It is expected to have the same full HD+ resolution, and screen-to-body ratio as the Honor 8X. On the inside though, things look more or less the same. The phablet is also said to be equipped with a Snapdragon 660 SoC, and the same RAM and storage options.

In the camera department however, rumors have suggested the device to come with a 16-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor at the back. It s also said to come with an 8-megapixel camera upfront for taking selfies. The big screen is said to be backed by a massive 5,000mAh battery. On the software department Android 8.1 Oreo is expected.
