As promised, Huawei‘s sub-brand has launched its Honor 9 Lite smartphone today in India. Exclusive to Flipkart, the Honor 9 Lite carries a price of Rs 10,999 for the base model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The 4GB RAM model with 64GB is priced at Rs 14,999. Honor 9 Lite specifications and features
The talking point of the Honor 9 Lite is its cameras. The smartphone is equipped with dual cameras both at the front and rear. There is a combination of a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor on both the sides. The rear camera comes with PDAF support and LED flash.
As for other specifications, the Honor 9 Lite packs a 5.65-inch full HD+ display with 1080 2160 resolution, and an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is a HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC clocked at 2.36GHz. The internal memory is expandable with the use of a microSD card.
On the software front, it runs Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 out-of-the-box. The Honor 9 Lite is powered by a 3,000mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 20 hours of talk time on 3G and a standby time of up to 24 days. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and micro-USB with OTG support.
At the given price, the Honor 9 Lite will be competing against the Xiaomi Mi A1 which boasts a dual camera setup and the latest Samsung Galaxy On 7 Prime, both of which are priced in the sub-Rs 15,000 segment.
