Huawei is set to launch the Honor 9 on June 12. With just a few days to go, leaks about the upcoming smartphone continue to surface on the internet. While recently we saw dual-camera samples leak online, in the latest development, most of the details of the upcoming smartphone have appeared online. Spotted by GizmoChina, the smartphone is up for registration on the site. The registration page also reveals some of the specifications of the upcoming Honor 9. According to the listing, the upcoming smartphone will come with a 2.5D curved glass on the front. On the camera front, the smartphone will sport a 12-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual-camera setup. Under the hood, the smartphone might feature a Hisilicon Kirin 960 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. However, if a previous TENAA listing is to be believed, the Honor 9 will launch in two variants with 4GB and 6GB of RAM.
Apart from that, the smartphone is said to feature a 5.15-inch full HD display. There is likely to be 64GB storage on offer, which can be further expandable up to 256GB. The battery capacity is expected to be around 3,100mAh. Another change Honor is expected to bring with the Honor 9 is the OS which will be the new Magic Live OS coupled with Android Nougat instead of EMUI. In terms of design, the smartphone is said to flaunt a glass and a metal body. The Honor 9 features a physical home button up front, which eliminates the fingerprint sensor on the back as seen in the Honor 8. The Honor 9 sports curved edges much like the Mi 6, originally drawn from the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. The dual-cameras are said to be placed on the top-left of the Honor 9 with the dual-LED flash and laser auto-focus placed horizontally. In comparison, Honor 8 featured a 5.2-inch full HD (1080p) display. It is powered by a Kirin 950 SoC and has 4GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. On the photography front, the smartphone comes with a 12-megapixel dual rear camera setup and an 8-megapixel selfie snapper on the front. It runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-0f-the box, upgradable to Android Nougat 7.0. The smartphone houses a 3,000mAh non-removable battery.
