Just about three months ago, Huawei s sub-brand Honor, launched the Honor 8 Pro in India. And today, the company has launched the Honor 9i. While the Honor 8 Pro caught attention for its dual-camera assembly at the rear, the highlight of this device are two pairs of cameras. The Honor 9i has been launched at Rs 17,999, and will be exclusively available via Flipkart. It comes in three color options of Prestige Gold, Aurora Blue, and Graphite Black. The talking point of the Honor 9i remains to be the two dual-camera setups, one on the front, and one at the back. At the front is a combination of a 13-megapixel dual cameras with selfie flash and bokeh mode. More features include 120-degree lighting angle, and gesture activated selfies. At the rear there’s a pair of 16-megapixel cameras. Another thing that is catchy about the phone is its attempt to join the big screen edge-to-edge display smartphones. The Honor 9i features a 5.9-inch Full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, a 2.5D curved glass, and 83 percent screen-to-body ratio. It is also Honor’s first full view display smartphone.
Under the hood is a 2.36GHz octa-core Kirin 659 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. It runs on EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. Fueling the device is a 3,340mAh battery, which the company claims can deliver up to two days of standby time and up to seven hours of gaming. The Honor 9i also comes with native app lock, and knuckle-based interaction.
Further, the company also launched the MediaPad T3 and MediaPad T3 10 tablets, and a 10,000mAh power bank. The power bank is priced at Rs 2,399, and will be available exclusively via Flipkart. The MediaPad T3 comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage, and is priced at Rs 12,999. The MediaPad T3 10 is available in two variants of 2GB RAM plus 16GB storage which is priced at Rs 14,999. The MediaPad T3 and MediaPad T3 10 tablets have a metal body with HD displays. The devices are powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processorm and are fueled by a 4,800mAh battery. On the software front, the tablets run Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 on top. For photography, the MediaPad T3 and T3 10 sport a 5-megapixel rear and 2-megapixel front camera.
