Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched the 128GB storage variant of its Honor Play smartphone in China. The new model comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. It was initially launched in two variants – 4GB RAM+64GB storage, and 6GB RAM+64GB storage.
The Honor Play 128GB variant is more like an upgrade of the 64GB model. Now at the same price of RMB 2,399 (approximately Rs 24,000), buyers will get 6GB+128GB variant instead of 6GB+64GB variant. It will be available in three color options of Nebula Purple, Aurora Blue, and Midnight Black.
Honor recently launched the Honor Play in India as well. It is priced at Rs 19,999 for the 4GB RAM+64GB storage variant, and Rs 23,999 for the 6GB RAM+64GB storage option. We are hoping Honor will bring the same variant, and the new Nebula Purple color to India as well, but there is no official communication yet. As of now there only two color variants available in India – Midnight Black and Navy Blue.
The Honor Play comes with high-end specifications and features, and is meant as both a gaming-friendly smartphone as well as a performance-driven device at a good price. Apart from its specifications, the Honor Play also sports GPU Turbo, a software-based enhancement developed by Huawei for its smartphones.
