Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has been on a sort of launch spree lately, outing one smartphone after another. The company’s most recent launch is the Honor Play, which was unveiled earlier this month. What sets the Honor Play apart from the rest of its clan members is that it comes with a flagship SoC (Kirin 970), despite being a mid-range smartphone with a price tag of just Rs 19,999.
Interesting, right? Well if that just made you decide (or you’ve already decided) to buy one, you’ll be happy to know that the Honor Play is set to go on sale today. Here’s all you need to know about the sale, and the smartphone itself.
Honor Play: Details of the flash sale
The Honor Play will be available on Amazon.in via flash sale at 12PM today. As is always the case with flash sales, the smartphone will go out of stock in mere seconds, so we suggest you get online a few minutes before the sale commences. Moreover, make sure you have fast and reliable internet connectivity.

Honor Play: Price, specifications, and features
Despite having a modest price tag of Rs 19,999, the Honor Play is packed with flagship-grade hardware. It’s powered by Huawei’s top-of-the-line Kirin 970 SoC, paired with 4/6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone also supports microSD cards of up to 256GB. Honor Play sports a 6.3-inch FullHD+ notched display with a resolution of 1080×2340 pixels.
It has a dual-camera system at the back, with one 16-megapixel sensor and one 2-megapixel sensor. Up front, there’s a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. From 802.11a/b/g/n/ac to USB Type-C, the Honor Play has all the connectivity options you could ask for. It’s backed by a 3,750mAh battery.
Honor Play runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Huawei’s EMUI 8.1 UI overlay baked on top. The standout feature of the Honor Play is Huawei’s ‘GPU Turbo’ technology, which works under-the-hood to (supposedly) provide the best gaming performance.
