The Honor Play comes in two variants, with the 4GB RAM/64GB storage option priced at Rs 19,999. In comparison, the Oppo F7 starts at Rs 19,990 for a similar 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the Nokia 7 Plus is the most expensive at Rs 25,999 for the single 4GB RAM/64GB storage option.
The Oppo F7 offers the most storage on its 6GB RAM/128GB storage variant at Rs 23,990, while the Honor Play comes with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage at Rs 23,999. The Honor Play is an online-exclusive, available on Amazon India.
Honor Play Vs Oppo F7 Vs Nokia 7 Plus – Specifications and software
The Honor Play is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC, which is currently the flagship chipset from Huawei-owned HiSilicon. The Nokia 7 Plus is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC, while the Oppo F7 is powered by the MediaTek Helio P60 chipset. In terms of specifications, the Kirin 970 is the most powerful chipset on offer, and as such, performance on the Honor Play is theoretically ahead of the competition.
The Nokia 7 Plus has the largest battery of the three phones in comparison, at 3,800mAh. The Honor Play has a slightly smaller 3,750mAh battery, while the Oppo F7 has a 3,400mAh battery. The Nokia and Honor options support fast charging and USB Type-C, while the Oppo F7 comes with a micro-USB port, and lacks fast charging.
All three smartphones come with Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box. The Nokia 7 Plus is an Android One device, and thus runs the stock Android UI, and is slated to receive updates faster. The Oppo F7 runs on ColorOS, while the Honor Play runs on EMUI 8.2.

The Honor Play sports the largest screen of the phones here, with a 6.3-inch full-HD+ display of aspect ratio 19.5:9. The screen comes with a notch at the top for the front camera, earpiece and sensors. The Oppo F7 sports a similar notched screen, but is slightly smaller at 6.23 inches, and has an aspect ratio of 19:9. The Nokia 7 Plus has a 6-inch 18:9 full-HD+ screen with no notch. All three phones have IPS LCD screens.
While the Oppo F7 sports a plastic build, the Nokia 7 Plus and Honor Play have all-metal unibody builds. All three phones have their fingerprint sensors at the back. The Oppo F7, thanks to its plastic build, is significantly lighter than the other two phones in terms of weight.

The Honor Play and Nokia 7 Plus sport dual-camera setups at the rear, with the Nokia’s setup being the most advanced of the three. It comes with a 12-megapixel + 13-megapixel setup that allows for depth-sensing as well as up to 2X lossless zoom. The Honor Play has a 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel setup, with the second sensor working only for depth-sensing to allow portrait and bokeh shots. The chipset on the Honor Play also enables AI-based effects for the rear camera.
The Oppo F7 has a single-camera setup at the rear, with a 16-megapixel sensor. However, the Oppo F7 beats the competition on pure numbers when it comes to the front camera. The phone has a 25-megapixel front camera with AI-based portrait mode, while the Nokia 7 Plus and Honor Play both sport 16-megapixel front cameras. The Honor Play also has an AI-based portrait mode at the front.
