Honor recently confirmed that it will be hosting a launch event in Paris on January 22. It is speculated that the Chinese manufacturer will be launching Honor View20 on the said date. As is usually the case, the smartphone is first likely to launch in China ahead of the global launch. Today, Honor has taken to Weibo to announce a launch event in Hong Kong on December 20.
It is widely expected that the Honor View20 will be launching in China as the Honor V20. The background of the huge number 3 in the launch poster showcases the night view of the city in Hong Kong.
Rumors surrounding the Honor V20 smartphone have revealed that it will be equipped with a Full HD+ resolution (2310×1080 pixels) display. It is also rumored to boast an in-screen camera designed display. The handset will be fueled by Huawei‘s top-of-the-line Kirin 980 SoC.
The exact size of the battery that will be powering the Honor V20 phone is not known. However, it is expected to carry support for 22.5W rapid charging. The smartphone is likely to sport a triple-camera system on its rear. It is speculated that the third lens of the phone could be a ToF 3D stereo camera for 3D depth sensing. The above launch poster could be teasing the “3D Camera” feature that is expected to be available on the Honor V20.

The handset will be preloaded with EMUI 9 based on Android 9 Pie OS. Rumors have it the Honor V20 will be hitting the Chinese market on December 27 with a price tag of RMB 2,799 (approximately Rs 28,720).
