Despite the speculations around Nutella and Neyyappam, Google chose Nougat as the name for Android N. If you are wondering what Nougat means, it is a sweet that is traditionally made with sugar or honey, and lots of nuts like almonds, walnuts, hazelnut, pistachio and the like, with whipped white eggs, and it tastes so yum! Google went all out and took to Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat to spell out the big N name. Google also inaugurated a statue of the new Android Nougat, with the Android mascot standing on slabs on nougats. Also Read - Google News Showcase gets support for Malayalam and Bengali
Also, now that everybody is talking about Android Nougat, I noticed that a lot of people don’t actually know how to pronounce the word. Mostly people who aren’t aware of the treat, would naturally not know how to say it. So here it is, we are not sure what pronunciation Android’s going by, but this little treat has so many ways of being pronounced, you can pronounce it nugget, which is a US English pronunciation, by UK English it’s called noo-gaa or noogat, and the French call it nu-ga. Yeah, it is kind of confusing, but I think it would be the safest to call it nugget, which is a popular pronunciation for name of the sweet. Moving on from how to spell out Nougat, I know it is sadistic, but it was hilarious to look at Google pop the Nutella bubble so many fans were living in, and ultimately just call it Nougat. Of course, the social media couldn’t let this opportunity go waste and they obviously let the world know what they felt about Nougat.
