The WhatsApp beta testing program is available on all three platforms Android, iOS and Windows Phone. Enrolling yourself as a WhatsApp beta tester on Android is quite simple. You can head over to this page, sign-up and download the test version from Google Play Store. Alternatively, you can directly open Play Store on your smartphone, search for WhatsApp and open the app page. Now, scroll to the end of the page and you ll find a link to become a beta tester, where you need to tap on I m In. It will take a few minutes, and in some cases, a few hours to sign you up. You can then download or update the app to the latest beta version. At any point you feel like leaving the beta program, you can head over to app page on Google Play, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Leave Program. WhatsApp beta program is also available for smartphones running on Windows Phone 8.1 or Windows Mobile 10 OS. Unlike the Android version, there is no need to register for beta program, as you can directly download the WhatsApp beta version from the App Store by clicking here. Now, coming to iOS, which is the trickiest of all. Enrolling for WhatsApp beta on iOS is not as simple as on Windows Phone and Android OS, and you will need a jailbroken iPhone. If you don t have a jailbroken iPhone, you re out of luck, but in case you do, continue reading for the installation procedure. On a jailbroken iPhone, you ll need to add this source –> cydia.angelxwind.net/ to Cydia repository. Once this is done, install AppSync Unified from the source and reboot your iPhone. Now, after your iPhone is rebooted, open this website on dev2.whatsapp.net/ios/WhatsApp/ on Safari browser and on the link that says Tap here to install. It will download and install the beta version while replacing the existing App Store version.
