To be able to buy the Xiaomi Mi 3 on July 22, you will first need to register yourself on Flipkart as only registered users will get the chance to buy the smartphone on day one. Head over to Flipkart and login in using your id. Next you will need to go the Xiaomi page on Flipkart and hit the Register button. This will enable you to buy the smartphone the moment it is available. Also Read - Xiaomi launches new 10,000mAh and 20,000mAh Mi PowerBank 3i in India, price starts at Rs 899
However, only those who have pre-registered before July 22 will get a chance to buy the smartphone. Registering yourself however doesn t mean that you will surely get the smartphone as the availability is on a first-come-first basis. This has been done so that both Xiaomi and Flipkart will get an estimate of traffic they will encounter and ensure that the site doesn’t go down.
It also helps Xiaomi to gauge the demand it can expect from India and work out its stocks accordingly. If Xiaomi s previous record is anything to go by, it is notorious for running out of stocks within minutes. The combination of high-end specs at a ridiculous pricing has already created quite a buzz on the Internet and chances are the Chinese company could struggle to keep up with the demand.
To remind you, the Xiaomi Mi 3 flaunts a 5-inch 1080p display and is powered by a Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz and paired with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also features a 13-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16GB internal storage, and a 3,050mAh battery. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat wrapped under the MIUI version 5 UI. You can read our first impressions of the device here.
