How to secure your Apple ID after alleged iCloud hacker leaks Hollywood celebs' nude photos

Various Hollywood actors found their most intimate photos leak online in the wee hours of Monday morning after their iCloud accounts were allegedly hacked. Hunger Games actresses Jennifer Lawrence and Mary E Winstead have already confirmed that the leaked photos are indeed theirs. The two-step verification is essentially an extra-layer of protection for your Apple ID. In addition to your password you will also need to provide a verification code. To setup two-step verification, head over to the My Apple ID, click on Manage your Apple ID, and sign in. You will need to register one of your iOS devices to receive a 4-digit verification code via SMS or Find My iPhone. Once setup, every time you make any changes to your Apple ID or make a purchase on iTunes or the App Store, you will need to provide your password as well as the 4-digit passcode that you receive on your registered iOS device.
