The feature was recently discovered by AndroidAuthority, and it lets you record a voice message without firing up WhatsApp. To be able to use the feature, you need to have Google Assistant enabled on your device running Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, and above. To do this, open Google app, tap on the hamburger menu on the top left, followed by Settings, and then tapping on Voice. In this menu, tap on Ok Google detection and set up the assistant.
