HP exec hints at company's comeback into smartphone space

HP is reportedly working on making a re-entry into the smartphone space after it ditched its webOS efforts via its acquisition of Palm. When queried by PTI if the company would launch a smartphone, he said, “The answer is yes but I cannot give a timetable. It would be silly if we say no. HP has to be in the game. Being late you have to create a different set of proposition. There are still things that can be done. It’s not late. He admitted that the company was late in the game, but also reiterated that it was never too late. Previously, the company had bought Palm, which unsuccessfully launched smartphones and tablets powered by .
