American laptop manufacturer HP has announced the launch of the next-generation Spectre x360 laptop in India. Priced at Rs 115,290 for the variant with an Intel Core i5 processor, and Rs 157,290 for the Core i7 variant, the Spectre x360 is among the most premium offerings by HP in India. The new Spectre x360 laptops feature the 8th-generation Intel Core processors, and are targeted as premium productivity laptops. The devices launched today include the HP Active Pen to take advantage of the touch screen for creativity usage.
In terms of specifications, the HP Spectre x360 features either an Intel Core i5 or Core i7 processor (8th-generation in both cases), Windows 10 Pro (64-bit), either 360GB or 512GB of SSD storage depending on the variant you buy, either 8GB or 16GB of DDR3 RAM, a 13.3-inch full-HD screen, and Intel UHD graphics 620 for the graphics subsystem. Additionally, you get Bang and Olufsen tuned audio through a quad speaker system.
The laptop weighs just 1.26 kilograms, and can be used in laptop, tablet and tent mode thanks to a 360-degree rotating hinge. The bundled HP Active Pen is Windows Ink certified for a more natural drawing and writing experience, allowing creativity users to sketch or write on the touch screen of the laptop. The body of the laptop is CNC machined aluminum, and comes in a dark ash color option that also features copper accents.
The HP Spectre x360 goes head-to-head with the recently launched Lenovo Yoga 920 and Dell XPS 13, both of which are powered by 8th-generation Intel Core processors, and offer a premium Windows computing experience. However, the Spectre x360 is a bit more expensive, and also falls a bit short thanks to the use of a full HD screen even on the higher variant. The new HP Spectre x360 is available now both online and offline at major HP retailers across India.
