We re barely two weeks away from official unveiling of the HTC 10 smartphone and HTC isn t leaving any stone unturned to create the hype. The Taiwanese company has been teasing the smartphone in bits and pieces, and the latest teaser from HTC India s Twitter handle offers a glimpse at the hardware home key flanked by capacitive buttons. While the One M7 featured capacitive touch buttons below the screen, HTC went for on screen implementation for the One M8 and One M9. However, just like the recently launched One A9, the HTC 10 is also set to feature a physical home button with fingerprint scanner embedded within.
HTC 10 specifications and features: From the rumors we ve come across so far, the HTC 10 could feature a 5.2-inch WQHD display and powered by Qualcomm s Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset paired with 4GB of RAM. A recent rumor also suggested that HTC is working on a variant with Qualcomm s Snapdragon 652 processor. In terms of storage, 16GB, 32GB and 128GB variants are expected along with a microSD card slot for further expansion.
A previous HTC teaser hinted at World First, and World Class camera experience, and the smartphone is expected to sport a 12-UltraPixel rear camera with laser auto-focus, PDAF, dual tone LED flash and an 8-megapixel selfie camera. Both front and rear cameras are rumored to come with optical image stabilization.
On the connectivity front, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 and the USB Type-C port is expected. The HTC 10 is rumored to come shipped with Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS wrapped under HTC s Sense UI 8.
The HTC 10 is rumored to become available in Taiwan starting April 15 with prices starting from RMB 3,799 (approximately Rs 39,000) for the 16GB variant with Snapdragon 652 SoC, and go all the way up to RMB 5,888 (approximately Rs 60,500) for the Snapdragon 820 powered 128GB variant.
