After developing the Nexus 9 in partnership with Google, HTC is allegedly working on its own tablet. According to leakster @Upleaks, the tablet will be dimensionally identical to the Nexus 9, which translates into a 9-inch display and a 4:3 aspect ratio. The leakster also contradicts earlier reports, claiming that the tablet won’t go on sale in the first quarter of 2015.

As Per the leakster, while the HTC branded tablet will feature the same dimensions as the Nexus 9, it could boast better specifications than Google’s tablet. At the moment, not a lot is known about the forthcoming tablet.

HTC doesn’t have the best of records in the Android tablet market. Their tablets like the Flyer, Jetstream, Evo View 4G failed to make a mark in the market. Majority of the manufacturers have still not been able to figure out the Android tablet market and it seems that Samsung is the only manufacturer who is doing well with tablets.

To recap, the Google Nexus 9 is available in India, priced at Rs 28,990. As far as specifications are concerned, it features a 9-inch display set at a resolution of 1536×2048 pixels translating into a pixel density of 281ppi. It is powered by Nvidia Tegra K1 clocked at 2.3GHz and paired with a 2GB RAM. Camera shapes up in the form of an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a 1.6-megapixel secondary sensor.
