HTC is planning a launch in India today, and going by the teasing invite, we expect the company to launch the Desire 10 Pro smartphone today. The smartphone was unveiled earlier this year, and is currently listed on HTC’s India website, albeit with the coming soon badge. This device is set to be HTC’s mid-range offering, and it will be available in four color variants — stone black, polar white, royal blue and valentine lux. On the design front, it boasts a plastic body with metallic frame, and adding to its distinct design are the gold colored antenna lines than run along the top and bottom half of the device. The volume rocker and power buttons are placed on the right, the microUSB port at the bottom, and the 3.5mm audio jack at the top. Also Read - HTC Wildfire E Lite listed on Google Play Console

HTC Desire 10 Pro specifications
The Desire 10 Pro sports a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, and is powered by a MediaTek 64-bit Helio P10 octa-core processor. The smartphone also features 4GB of RAM, 64GB onboard storage, and a microSD card slot to further expand the onboard storage.
For photography enthusiasts, the Desire 10 Pro is equipped with a 20-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture, LED flash, laser auto-focus, and 1080p video recording capabilities. Up front, there is a 13-megapixel f/2.2 aperture selfie camera. There is a fingerprint scanner placed at the back, a 3,000mAh battery, and the device also comes with support for 24-bit Hi-Res audio and Dolby-enhanced BoomSound speakers.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. On the software front, the Desire 10 Pro runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out-of-the-box wrapped under the HTC Sense UI.
There is currently no word on the pricing or availability of the Desire 10 Pro, but looking at the specifications the ideal price range would be somewhere close to Rs 15,000. But if HTC’s track record is anything to go by, the pricing of the Desire 10 Pro would be anything but ideal. We will be on ground covering the event, so stay tuned.
Though all teasers hint at the Desire 10 Pro, there is a possibility that HTC might launch a second smartphone today. Earlier this week, the HTC 10 evo was launched in Taiwan, and almost immediately the smartphone was listed on the company’s official India page. While it is still listed with the coming soon badge, we won’t be surprised if HTC announces something related to this new smartphone.
The new HTC 10 evo is essentially the international variant of the HTC Bolt, which is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 processor and ditches the 3.5mm audio jack. The smartphone features a 5.5-inch QHD Super LCD 3 display with Gorilla Glass 5 protection, 32GB and 64GB onboard storage options, and a microSD card slot. It also comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with OIS support, 8-megapixel selfie camera, 3,200mAh battery, USB Type-C port, and IP57 certification for water and dust resistance.
