HTC has just announced the Desire 320, the successor of the Desire 310 today. The company has not revealed the pricing of the device, but have mentioned that UK would be the first market where the device would be released. As far as the specifications are concerned, the Desire 320 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with a 480×854 pixel resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM. It houses 8GB of internal storage expandable up to 32GB via microSD. The HTC Desire 320 sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Connectivity options include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, single-SIM support and FM radio. It packs 2,100mAh battery and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. It will be available in Vanilla White and Dark Grey colour options. It also comes with in-built HTC Blinkfeed and Video Highlights. In comparison, the Desire 310 has a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHz MediaTek quad-core (Cortex A7) processor, coupled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. It has a 5-megapixel fixed-focus rear camera, VGA front facing camera, runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and a 2,000mAh battery. The phone was launched in India for Rs 11,700.
With these specifications, the HTC Desire 320 is set to compete with the likes of Micromax Canvas Xpress and all the Android One smartphones.
