HTC seems to be on a mobile launching spree recently with reports about upcoming mobile devices surfacing thick and fast. After recently announcing devices like the Desire 200 and the Desire 600 in Taiwan, HTC has sent out invitations for yet another event where it will be launching a new device called the Desire 500, Engadget reports. There’s surprisingly nothing known about the device. The launch event will take place on July 23 in Taiwan and HTC describes the Desire 500 with a slogan— “Energy of the young, imagination of the boundless”. The only thing we can gather from this cryptic message is that the Desire 500 could be a budget smartphone meant for first-time smartphone buyers. As you might have guessed, there’s no word on when HTC might bring the Desire 500 to our shores either. Also Read - HTC Desire 20+ launched with 48-megapixel quad rear camera setup

HTC could soon be launching the Desire 600 and the Butterfly S in India after the former was recently listed on e-commerce sites in India for Rs 26,860, while the latter got listed on the HTC India website a couple of days back.
