HTC today announced the latest smartphone in its Desire series called the Desire 700. The mid-range Android smartphone was unveiled at an event in Taiwan and is priced at NT$ 13,900 (Rs 29,250 approximately). There is no word on when it will arrive at our shores. In terms of specifications, the Desire 700 sports a 5-inch (960×540 pixels) and is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. Other features included are an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and support for 1080p video recording, 2.1-megapixel front camera, 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card and a 2,100mAh battery. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and on the software front, it runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean wrapped under HTC’s Sense UI. HTC is also offering its unique features like Zoe and BlinkFeed among others and has included dual BoomSound front stereo speakers.
