The Desire EYE is a selfie-focused smartphone with a massive 13-megapixel camera at the front alongside dual-LED flash. The camera features a BSI sensor, f/2.2, and 22mm wide angle lens. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel camera at the back as well, which too is accompanied by a dual-LED flash. The rear camera features BSI sensor, f/2.0, and a 28mm wide angle lens. HTC has also introduced new camera software called HTC EYE Experience, which includes features like split capture, crop-me-in, and voice selfie among others. To recap on the smartphones specifications, the Desire EYE flaunts a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display and is powered by a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor paired with 2GB of RAM. Additionally, the smartphone also features 16GB internal storage, microSD card support, dual front-facing speakers with BoomSound technology, and a 2,400mAh battery that the company claims is good enough for up to 20 hours of talk time and up to 538 hours on standby mode. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and on the software front, it runs on Android KitKat wrapped under HTC Sense UI. The Desire EYE also features IPX7 certification, which makes it resistant to water and dust.
