March 25 is when HTC will be unveiling the successor to the One, tentatively called the M8 aka All New One. But reports surfacing online claim that the M8 may not be the only device in the works and the Taiwanese company is also said to be close to unveiling the successor to the Butterfly S, codenamed GLU2. According to GforGames, the GLU2 will boast a set of specifications very similar to what is expected on the forthcoming M8. Besides the display, which is expected to be similar to the one on Butterfly S (5.25-inch 1080p), the GLU2 will feature a Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded using a microSD card. Additionally, the report also claims that the GLU2 will sport a 5-Ultrapixel camera at the back, supplemented by a 5-megapixel camera at the front. This is again similar to what is expected on the M8. Also Read - HTC Wildfire E Lite listed on Google Play Console
From what we see in the leaked photo above, the device looks very similar to the current Butterfly S and will also boast Beats Audio technology inside.
There is currently no word on when HTC is planning on unveiling this high-end device. There is little chance the company would steal the M8’s thunder by also unveiling the GLU2 on March 25.
