HTC is reportedly investing $1 billion in its all new ‘Here’s To Change’ global ad campaign, which will kick off on various media platforms worldwide from August 15. One of the company’s representatives has told Engadget that the company will be spending about $1 billion on this new campaign, which apparently was the company’s total worldwide sales and marketing budget for the last year. Also, the company has roped in Robert Downey Jr. in a two-year deal to be face of this new advertisement campaign and add his inputs in the creative desk for the same. Reportedly, HTC is planning to run this campaign for two to three years in three phases. However, details on the duration of each phase has not been revealed yet. The first phase will include the new ads that are posted on HTC’s official YouTube video channel for now. The new ads featuring Downey will first focus on the ‘HTC’ title and brand name, but will later include HTC’s phones as well.
The company had streamed its first ad in the ‘Here’s To Change’ campaign a couple of days back, and today has released another YouTube video featuring Robert Downey Jr. and others giving different forms for the HTC title by using each letters, like ‘Humongous Tinfoil Catamaran’ and more. The ad is believed to help the company in invoking interest and talkability amongst consumers.
