HTC’s selfie-focused smartphone, M8 Eye has been doing rounds of the Internet for quite some time now. Ahead of its expected October 8 launch, the first press photo of the forthcoming smartphone has surfaced on Chinese micro blogging website Weibo, GSMArena reports. As seen in the above photo, the smartphone follows the same design language as the flagship One (M8), including the metallic finish. At the back there is the same Duo Camera setup, but instead of the 4-Ultrapixel snapper, HTC is expected to offer a 13-megapixel camera. At the front, the smartphone is expected to feature a 5-megapixel camera. This is the combination that HTC is offering on the Butterfly 2. In addition to the camera, from what we know so far, the M8 Eye is expected to feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, and Adreno 330 GPU. We will know more, when HTC unveils the device on October 8. At the same event, the company is also expected to unveil the ReCamera, which is essentially a GoPro rival. The tube-shaped 16-megapixel camera is said to have a wide-angle lens, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to establish direct connection with your Android and iOS devices.
