After numerous rumors, we have today got our first look at the forthcoming Nexus 9 tablet courtesy of leakster @Upleaks. The tablet in the above photo is bigger and more squarish compared to previous Nexus tablets. It also boasts the matte finish at the back similar to what we have seen on recent Nexus devices. Also seen is the bold Nexus logo, as well as the HTC logo at the bottom. There s a camera at the top left corner along with LED flash, and what appears to be the micro-USB port at the bottom. As mentioned above, the tablet has also got FCC certification, which is an indication that the launch is not that far-off. While the site doesn t mention any specifications, previous leaks claim it will flaunt an 8.9-inch display with QHD screen resolution and will be powered by Nvidia Tegra K1 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. On the photography front, the tablet is expected to feature an 8-megapixel camera at the back with optical image stabilization, and a 3-megapixel camera at the front.
As for launch, while the jury is out on a date, reports claim that it could be unveiled on October 16 alongside the Nexus 6 smartphone and Android L.
