HTC One A9 (Aero) to come with deca-core chipset and 4GB RAM, may be unveiled on September 29: Report

HTC was expected to unveil the Aero aka One A9 at IFA 2015, but that didn't happen. Now a new leak doles out more details about the HTC flagship, reiterating that it may come with a deca-core proc

HTC was expected to unveil the Aero aka One A9 at IFA 2015, but that didn’t happen. Now a new leak doles out more details about the HTC flagship, reiterating that it may come with a deca-core processor and a 4GB RAM for optimal performance.

The latest benchmark leak (first spotted by GSM Arena) further testifies the addition of a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset that comes with a deca-core CPU. To break the deca-core Helio X20 down, two are going to be Cortex-A72 cores, and the other eight cores will be Cortex-A53 – divided into two different clusters.

Furthermore, the benchmark reveals that the HTC One A9 will pack a 4GB RAM and will support LTE Cat.6 networks. Previous leaks suggest that the smartphone could pack a QHD display with 2.5D curved edges and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.

It is also expected to sport an improved camera with support for capturing RAW quality photos. In terms of design, the Aero (A9) could come with a metal design and curved glass at the back.

In any case, HTC has announced that it is hosting a special event on September 29, and it is most likely to unveil the HTC One A9 then, unveiling all official details. Until then, take all these leaks with a proverbial pinch of salt.
