With hashtag #BeBrilliant, HTC says it’s one of the first manufacturers, except Google to launch an Android smartphone running on the latest Android OS. The smartphone in question could most probably be the widely leaked HTC One A9.
From the leaks that we’ve come across, the HTC One A9 is a metal-clad smartphone with iPhone-like design. Besides revealing the smartphone’s design, the leaked photos also show the color options, which include acid gold, opal silver, deep garnet, carbon gray, rose gold and cast iron.
HTC One A9 specifications and features: The specifications of HTC One A9 include a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 617 SoC paired with 2GB of RAM. Also on the offer is 16GB of onboard storage, expandable using a microSD card.
On the camera front, it’s expected to come with a 13-megapixel rear camera with a BSI sensor and optical image stabilization, and a 4-megapixel front snapper. Connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS are expected to be present. With a 2,150mAh battery, the smartphone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with HTC’s Sense UI atop.
Earlier today, HTC also revealed a timeline for the roll out of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for its other smartphones. Most are in line to get the update before the end of this year.
