A bunch of HTC smartphones are getting Android Lollipop update in India, HTC has announced on its official Twitter handle. The Taiwanese company is rolling out the upgrade to all HTC One M7 (dual-SIM variant), One (E8), Desire Eye and Desire 816 users currently. The roll out will be in phases, so it might take a while before it reaches all handsets. If you own any of the above mentioned devices, you should be receiving a notification about the update. Alternatively, you can also manually check by going to Settings > About > Software Updates > and then click “Check now”.
It is recommended to clear up some space and install the update via a strong Wi-Fi connection. Also ensure that your smartphone has enough battery left, as the update might take a while to download.
This new version brings along a new cleaner card-style interface, changes to quick settings and notification panels color shade, and improvement in multi-tasking features among other things.
